On the second day of the Al-Jisr training program for GCC journalists, group participants met with the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Belgium Nabeela Al-Mulla, Ambassador of the GCC to the European Union Amal Al-Hamad and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Abdallah Al-Mouallimi where they received an in-depth briefing on the Gulf perspective about current issues in the GCC-EU relationship. In the afternoon, the members met with Dr. Loukas Stemitsiotis, Head of Unit for Globalisation, Trade and Development in the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission to discuss latest developments in the Euro area. The day concluded with a briefing in the European Parliament from Members of Parliament Holger Kramer, Vice-Chair for the Delegation for the relations with the Arab Peninsula; Mario David, Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and Dominique Baudis, also of the Foreign Affairs Committee.
